Meet the MAFCA Board of Directors

Chief Jody Weller
Jody Weller is the Fire Chief for the City of Fairburn, Georgia Fire Department in Fulton County, Georgia, where he has served for four years of his twenty year fire service career. He began his fire service career with the City of Germantown, Tennessee Fire Department as a Paid On Call Firefighter. Chief Weller was, then, hired with the City of Riverdale, Georgia Fire Services as a Firefighter and progressed through the ranks to the position of Deputy Chief. As the Emergency Medical Services Coordinator with Riverdale, he developed the department into an Advanced Life Support First Responder. Chief Weller was hired with the Fairburn, Georgia Fire Department as the City’s first paid Fire Chief. He built the department from the ground up and into a fully operational emergency services department that provides fire suppression, advanced life support response, specialty rescue response, and hazardous materials response. Chief Weller is also the Communications Director and Emergency Management Coordinator for Fairburn. He holds certifications as a Firefighter, Paramedic, and an Instructor in various disciplines. In addition, Chief Weller is certified in Local Government Management through the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government
Chief Weller is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Southeastern Division. He is also a charter member of the Safety, Health, and Survival Section of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Chief Weller is a member of the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs and the Metro Atlanta Fire Chiefs Association, where he currently serves as President. Chief Weller has been active in the Georgia Police and Fire Games for the past thirteen years. He has presented at several seminars and conferences, including the 2007 and 2008 Fire Rescue International Conferences in Atlanta, GA and Denver, CO.
Personally, Chief Weller is married to his wife, Julia, and the proud father of three sons who are all actively involved in a number of sports. He is active in coaching youth sports, especially baseball and football. Chief Weller is a thirteen year member of the Fayette County Baseball Association, where he currently serves as Past President, and holds coaching certifications through the National Youth Sports Council Association and Doyle Baseball.

Assistant Fire Chief Peki Prince
MAFCA’s Vice President is Peki Prince. Chief Prince serves as an Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Department. She began her fire service career in 1985. Her experience in the fire service includes administration, operations, safety, training, investigations and communications.
Chief Prince is an active member in the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs and is currently serving on the Legislative Committee. She is also a member of the Georgia Fire Investigators Association, International Association of Arson Investigators, International Association of Women in Fire and Emergency Services, and the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Southeastern Division.
Assistant Chief Prince is a member of the Safety, Health and Survival Section of the IAFC where she served on the Nominating Committee for the section for 2008 and the Chair for 2009. She also serves as the Chairman for Region Four EMS Council. She has a strong background in Fire, Emergency Medical Services, and Communications disciplines within public safety.
Assistant Chief Prince’s undergraduate degree is in Business Administration, with a specialty in Public Administration. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Psychology.

Deputy Chief Andrew Condrey
Chief Andrew “Andy” Condrey currently serves as the Deputy Chief of the Emergency Operations Division for Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services in Clayton County, Georgia. Chief Condrey is responsible for the management and supervision of 330 members who respond to over 27,000 missions annually, requiring 50,000 unit-responses.
Chief Condrey joined the department in May of 1988 after serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. Chief Condrey’s mission has been to support subordinate development with a spirit of commitment to the citizens and personnel of Clayton County. Pride and dedication to the mission have guided Chief Condrey throughout his career.
With a career that has spanned 22 years, Chief Condrey has been able to take full advantage of each rank in which he has served. While serving as a line Firefighter and Paramedic, Chief Condrey was seen by his peers as a mentor and as one who believed that training must be coupled with experience to develop true professional competency.
After completing Officer Candidate School, Chief Condrey advanced through the ranks of Sergeant and Lieutenant, including an assignment to the Special Operation Division’s Hazardous Materials Response Team. His skills and abilities, specifically within the arena of Operations, were quickly tasked as he was promoted to Captain, Battalion Chief and to his current position of Deputy Chief of Operations.
Chief Condrey is an active member of the GSAR Executive Committee. In 2008 He was elected as Vice President and later, in 2009, served as the Committee’s President. Chief Condrey also serves as an ambassador for the Metro Atlanta Fire Chiefs. He is currently serving as the Secretary / Treasurer on the Executive Board.
